Imam Connect

Problem

Users looking for credentialed Islamic teachers had no central place to discover, evaluate, and connect with the right instructor for their learning goals. The information was scattered across social media and word of mouth.

Solution

Built a Next.js frontend with directory, profile, and learning content modules. Designed the discovery flow so users land on the right teacher quickly — search, filter by topic and credential, and a clear path to start a conversation. Focused on accessibility and performance so the platform works on lower-end mobile devices common in the target audience.

Results

What I Learned

For a discovery product, search ergonomics and how filters behave under partial input do more for retention than any single visual polish. Spent extra time on the empty state and zero-result flows.
